FAQs
It’s my first time. What can I expect?
- Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your session time so we can show you around and make sure you are familiar with the sauna and cold tubs. We always recommend arriving with your swimwear on so you don’t miss out on valuable sauna time!
- The most important thing is to listen to your body – there are no rules when it comes to the sauna! No set times or standards, if you feel too hot then take a few minutes to cool down outside in the seating area or use the cold water on offer.
- Recommended times are 10-15 minutes heat in the sauna, followed by few minutes in the cold – either the fresh air, cold shower or cold tub – whatever you fancy. Don’t feel pressured by anyone around you!
- Please note only Wild Shed sauna team members can operate the stove, please do not open the stove door or try to add wood. If you are keen to increase the heat please ask a member of our team.
What should I bring?
Your swimmies. 2 towels (one to sit on and one to dry off with), water bottle and a pair of flip flops to use in the outdoor shower might be useful but not essential.
Do you have changing facilities?
Yes we do! One completely private cubicle and a more communal area where you can leave your belongings. In the winter months please bring extra layers to make sure you stay warm after your session.
How hot is the sauna?
Typically around 85-100 degrees.
I can no longer make my session. Can I cancel?
You are able to cancel or rebook your session within 48 hours of your booked time. Unfortunately any bookings within the 48 hour timeframe will not receive a refund.
